Yard Sign Thief Caught!

A local blogger, “Alaska Pride”, produced this report of a call I made to Dan Fagan’s show yesterday. If you click here and go to that site you may also read my response. One of our dedicated sign committee members nabbed the culprit and is a heroine; the only reason I don’t name her here is to protect her privacy. Thank you, thank you volunteers; you are the best! Special thanks to APD’s Crime Prevention Specialist and Crime Stoppers Coordinator, Anita Shell (for advice on how to deal with such skullduggery), and to APD’s Sergeant Allen, who followed up on our request for an investigation. Of course it would be good to know for whom the sign nabber works and whether he — and the young woman seen riding with him — are affiliated with any organized effort to support/oppose particular candidates. -dh
