SATURDAY–$10K ENERGY REBATES; MONDAY–LET’S MEET AT UAA!

1. TOMORROW-SATURDAY–We’ll have information for you on your (up to) $10,000 Home Energy Rebate Program! On Saturday, September 20, meet me at Radio Espresso (N. Lights & Boniface) from 10 a.m. until Noon. We’ll have application and information forms for various rebate and weatherization programs. You’ll also be able to visit with the experts: Steve Pratt, energy economist and door and window insulation experts.

2. MONDAY, UAA STUDENTS–Please be on my team! UAA is within my Senate District K. Monday at noon I’ll be at the Student Center at UAA for a ‘Candidate Fair’ and I hope you’ll come to be with me! Let’s talk! Last night I joined University of Alaska Regents and President Mark Hamilton, Chancellors Fran Ulmer and Brian Rogers and other University leaders for a legislative briefing. The message was loud and clear: the University is prepared to fulfill its commitment to produce a superior and qualified workforce equal to the challenges of this century and of this unique state. You’ll see that I’ve worked in education much of my life, one way or another, and I’m happy to report that I have never seen our state university better managed or more creatively led.
