Repealing the IM program will help ease the financial crunch for so many of us going through the financial crunch. Disbanning the program is a step in the right direction of putting the brakes on government waste.
This is a most egregious theft of dollars from citizens of Anchorage. The inspection is a farce that only benefits the operators of inspection stations. If they actually tested vehicles instead of reading the computer memories of vehicles newer than 1995, there could be value, however there is no test performed to validate the cost of the “test” and “certification” which together add up to $75 for a reading of the vehicle computer!
Please repeal the IM program which is unnecessary and a burden on the taxpayers.
The IM Program was a farce from the start. It never did one iota of good for “air quality”. Anchorage residents have been bilked of millions of dollars in unnecessary inpections and vehicle repairs. Repeal the program NOW!
